Introducing Our New 4-Legged Staff Member!

Pikachu (“Pika”) is a friendly 2 year old Golden Retriever. She was trained by the Assistance Service Dog Educational Center which trains service dogs to perform many types of work, including mobility assistance, seizure response, autism support, PTSD service dogs for veterans, and more. Pika works with people experiencing psychological distress and provide anxiety de-escalation.

She offers a calming, supportive presence for victims and can give them strength and support as they move through the criminal justice process. She can attend meetings, meet children before their forensic interviews, and even accompany victims to court. She provides a gentle and affectionate presence and great cuddles for staff at the DA’s Office and the Monarch Justice Center.
