Monarch Partner SANE-SART

For over 35 years, SANE-SART (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners and Sexual Assault Response Team) has been a vital community resource, offering trauma-informed forensic sexual assault and domestic violence examinations 24/7, 365 days a year to victims of violence in Napa, Marin, Sonoma and Solano counties. 

SANE-SART provides no-cost victim advocacy, case management, forensic services and therapy for victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, human trafficking and child abuse.

Monarch is extremely fortunate to house SANE-SART services at our Napa office, including Napa’s only private forensic examination room, as well as free mental health services. Mental health services are also provided in Solano and Sonoma counties.

SANE-SART houses the Solano Courage Center in Fairfield and a satellite site in Vallejo. The Center provides trauma-informed, age-appropriate forensic, legal, and medical services for young victims of sexual assault. Monarch hosts the Napa-based Courage Center, managed by the District Attorney’s Office.

SANE-SART also provides human trafficking services that have proven to be essential to the recovery of survivors. The Day of Action conference highlighted above points to SANE-SART’s expertise and deep commitment to this work.
