Board Retirement: Sandy Re Sims

Board Retirement: Sandy Re Sims

Sandy Re Sims, a founding member of Monarch’s board, was instrumental in building Monarch from the ground up – helping us become an independent 501c3, advocating for us among Napa’s elected officials and donors, and introducing Monarch to key figures in the community, like Councilmember Liz Alessio who, because of her relationship with Sandy, raised over $150,000 for Monarch at one of her famous hoedown fundraisers.

“Sandy has been such a key to our success when we first launched”, shared Shea Hunter, former Executive Director of Monarch, “she is a beloved member of our community.”

Sandy will continue to sit on the NEWS board and board of the Napa County Historical Society. When she is not volunteering (and when is she not volunteering?), she plans on spending time with her friends and family. Thank you, Sandy, for your devotion, passion, and tireless work on behalf of the Monarch Justice Center!
