Welcoming New Board Members

Jay Kouba spent his professional career working in the chemical and biotechnology industries and continues in this field as a corporate director and advisor to venture-backed companies. Since moving to the Napa Valley in 2018, Jay has pursued his interests in the public sector.
Jay served as a member of the 2022-2023 Napa County Grand Jury and was appointed to the Napa County Commission on Aging as District 3 representative in June 2023.
Jay’s introduction to Monarch came with joining the Napa County Elder Abuse Task Force in December 2023. He became co-chair of the task force in May 2024.
Jay lives with his wife Patti in St. Helena.
Leslie Richmond has been a Napa resident since 1991. She worked as a kindergarten teacher for Napa Valley Unified School District before staying home to raise her family.
She has been a Deacon at First Presbyterian Church, Napa, for sixteen years and is also on their Family Ministry Committee. She is a volunteer with Communicare +Ole, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, and Boys and Girls Empowerment Group.
When not volunteering you can find her practicing meditation and yoga, swimming, or entertaining her two chocolate labradors.
